Hearing explosions in Warren Wednesday afternoon? Here's why

WARREN, Ohio - Residents of the City of Warren may hear the sound of explosions Wednesday afternoon. However, the Warren Police Department is assuring residents there is no need to panic.
According to a post on Warren PD's Facebook page, training will be conducted in a vacant home on the 200 Block of Atlantic Street between noon and 3 p.m. Wednesday, October 9.
The training will include the use of low-grade explosives, which do not pose a threat to public safety.
The sound of these explosions will be heard throughout the surrounding neighborhoods and other parts of the city. Local public safety agencies have been notified.
