GIRARD, Ohio - The Pilot travel center in Girard is celebrating a remodel by giving back to the community.

The travel center is donating $10,000 to the Girard City School District to purchase a vinyl printer and cutter for the K-6th grade STEAM Program.

Pilot is also offering new discounts to customers who stop by the Salt Springs Road location through the Pilot rewards app. Updates to the travel center include a new kitchen, restrooms, and showers, plus updated laundry facilities and drivers lounge. There are also three new self-checkouts for customers.

"We invite drivers of all kinds- whether they drive professionally or just to explore new places- to experience our newly updated travel center in Girard," said Allison Cornish, senior vice president of store modernization and development at Pilot. "We remain focused on creating exceptional experiences for our guests by ensuring every stop has what drivers need to refuel, refresh and hit the road."

For the fall season, customers can stop by for limited time coffee flavors like Bourbon Pecan and Cinnamon Roll.
