Huntington Bank celebrates reopening of Market Street branch in Downtown Youngstown

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio - Huntington Bank has reopened one of its branches in Downtown Youngstown on Tuesday.
The Federal Plaza branch located at 26 Market Street near the Mahoning County Courthouse has reopened its doors to customers as of Tuesday, October 15.
Huntington Bank's Youngstown and Warren area District Manager Demetrius Williams tells 21 News he's very happy to have the bank back at its original location in the heart of Downtown Youngstown.
"We're really super happy to be back here in our space and being able to help the community knowing the tenants that are around this building didn't have anywhere to go. So we're happy to be here to be able to assist them with their banking needs," Williams said.
Williams said the newly-renovated branch is more innovative and explained some of the new technology being used.
"We've got screens that are up on the walls over here, as well as the newer money counting machines in the back. Very new technology as far as what we have in the branch as well. And just the look [and] the aesthetics of the branch. It's our newest model and we're pretty happy about everything we've done here," Williams said.
Youngstown Warren Regional Chamber President and CEO Guy Coviello says this is part of the revitalization of downtown Youngstown noting previous milestones such as Steelite relocating its corporate HQ downtown, as well as the opening of a new factory downtown.
"We appreciate that Huntington is continuing the momentum we established earlier this year," Coviello said.
