Troopers suspect speed, drugs, alcohol factors in traffic death of Warren man

HOWLAND, Ohio - State Troopers suspect that speed, alcohol, and drugs were factors in a fatal accident in Howland Township that claimed the life of a Warren man.
The Ohio State Highway Patrol says a Pontiac Firebird Trans Am driven by 52-year-old Michael Campbell of Warren veered off a curve along Pine Avenue SE just after 6 p.m. Monday.
The car struck a guardrail and a ditch, rolling over in the brush several times before landing on its roof on the road.
Campbell and his passenger, 50-year-old Michael Kuhl of Milton, Florida were both thrown from the car.
Campbell died. Kuhl was taken to a hospital with serious injuries.
The road between Burton St. and DeForest Road was shut down while the crash was being investigated, but it has since reopened.
