YOUNGSTOWN - Power has been restored to over 100 residents in Youngstown after a transformer blew on the Westside.

The intersection at Dunlap and Mahoning Avenues was briefly shut down while crews from First Energy restored the power.

Crews on scene say they believe the outage was caused by balloons getting caught in the wires, but an accident was reported at the intersection about an hour before the outage.

The intersection has since re-opened.
