Youngstown's First Friday celebrates Fall
Youngstown will host its November First Friday on November 1, 2024, from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. The event will extend from Downtown to The Butler Institute of American Art, at 524 Wick Avenue.
The evening will feature drinks, international street food, and art exhibitions, with music by local multi-percussionist Dan Schiller. Attendees are invited to explore Wick Avenue and downtown.
An Artists' Reception will be held at the Solomon Gallery in Bliss Hall (547 Wick Avenue) from 5 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. This event will celebrate the opening of a new Student Art Exhibition titled “Multiples,” presented by Youngstown State University's Cliffe College of Creative Arts.
The Ward Beecher Planetarium on the YSU campus will offer a free "Fall Sky Watch" program at 8 p.m., providing an opportunity to observe the night sky.
St. John's Episcopal Church will host live music, art displays, and activities from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m., featuring local bands and a pop-up art gallery.

Butler Institute of American Art: Open 5 p.m. - 9 p.m.
Food from El Hefe, Delhi Cafe, Muy Sabroso, and The Sprouted Table.
Exhibits by Mateo Blanco, Richard Hahn, Alex Katz, Sally Weber, and Craig Newswanger.
OH WOW! Children’s Center: Open 4 p.m. - 8 p.m. with half-price admission.
Cliffe College of Creative Arts: 5 p.m. - 6:30 p.m. - "Multiples" Student Art Exhibit Opening Reception.
Ward Beecher Planetarium: 8 p.m. - "Fall Sky Watch" show.
St. John's Episcopal Church: Live music, a picnic day with artist Nasir H. Watson, and a Day of the Dead celebration featuring GEO C & THA STORM. Costume contest at 7 p.m.; $5 admission from 8 p.m. to midnight. Food truck: Armida's Cucina.
Guests can also visit downtown restaurants such as Gringo's, V2 Wine Bar Trattoria, and Penguin City Brewing Co.
