Kindergarten students have been working diligently to gather donations for a food and comfort item drive that will benefit active duty military members serving overseas. 

This drive was launched by kindergarten teacher Mrs. Prozy of Jackson-Milton Elementary in honor of the upcoming Veterans Day holiday. November 8 is the last day to donate to this drive. 

Each day, students have been collecting and sorting donations that will be sent overseas. They have been collecting items such as powdered drink mixes for water, hot chocolate, protein bars, beef jerky, cough drops, mints or gum, Chapstick, playing cards and hygiene items such as toothpaste, toothbrushes and deodorant. 

Anyone looking to make donations can do so at Jackson-Milton Elementary at 14110 Mahoning Avenue, North Jackson, Ohio.
