NEW CASTLE, Pa. - A person allegedly involved in a police chase in Lawrence County was seriously injured after a crash.

First calls for the chase went out around 10:30 p.m. Wednesday night.

Shortly after, the police chase ended with a crash along State Route 956 and the suspected driver was  found unresponsive.

The unresponsive person was given CPR after the crash, but officials couldn't confirm if it was the driver.

A medical helicopter was called in but its unclear if anyone was transported by air.

New Castle Police and Pennsylvania State Police are investigating.

There's no word yet on the person's identity or the extent of their injuries.
