Youngstown Playhouse presents 'The Thanksgiving Play' leading up to holiday

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio - Thanksgiving is right around the corner, and the Youngstown Playhouse is providing some laughs leading up to the holiday.
The Youngstown Playhouse held its first showing of "The Thanksgiving Play" Friday, November 15 and will have several more showings leading up to Thanksgiving.
According to the Playhouse's website, the show is a satirical comedy that follows a group of "well-meaning but misguided theater pros" scrambling to create a culturally-sensitive Thanksgiving play for an elementary school.
"Their PC quest leads to hilarious chaos as they grapple with historical accuracy, good intentions and their own privilege," the synopsis reads.
The play will be held in the Moyer Room at the Playhouse on the following dates at the following times:
- Saturday, November 16 (Doors at 7 p.m., show at 7:30)
- Sunday, November 17 (Doors at 2 p.m., show at 2:30)
- Friday, November 22: (Doors at 7 p.m., show at 7:30)
- Saturday, November 23: (Doors at 7 p.m., show at 7:30)
- Sunday, November 24: (Doors at 2 p.m., show at 2:30)
