Warren man accused of shooting man in the temple during argument over woman
A Warren man has been charged after police say he shot another man during an argument over a woman.
According to a police report, officers were called to a home on the 2400 Block of Hamilton Street where they found a male victim holding a towel against his head telling police he was shot in the temple.
The victim told police he was arguing with a suspect identified as 19-year-old Kenneth Clauss II over a woman. Police say a vehicle past the house with Clauss in the front passenger seat.
The victim went on to say his son and his brother went outside and the brother brandished a handgun. Police say the suspect vehicle did a U-turn and Clauss fired several shots at the home.
Police say one of those shots went into the house and struck a television and the victim's temple. Four shots also struck a vacant home nearby. A total of 27 shell casings were found at the scene.
No arrests have been made at this time, but court records show a felonious assault charge has been filed against Clauss. A warrant has been issued for his arrest.
