In the five years that the International Student Organization has hosted one of it's biggest events, "International Prom"--Saturday night's turnout was the largest yet.

"People are enjoying their hearts out, everybody is attacking the chocolate fountain, fighting for the last strawberry. People are killing it on the dance floor right now.", said Manav Desai, president of ISO.

Along with the punch bowl, all essential elements of a high school prom. For many international students at YSU, including Manabi Dahal from Nepal, it's an experience unlike anything she's ever seen.

"It's getting to dress pretty, and even getting to eat food, and the music is really good. I feel like I would go to a prom again if I get the chance too.", said Dahal.

Leaders with ISO say grant funding this time around helped to make their vision for this year's prom a reality.

"Thanks to the members who gave us the grants, like Mahoning Ready, so that we could make this special.", said Krish Patel, treasurer for ISO.

Suprinsa Paudyal, who is from Nepal but grew up in Japan is back at prom for the second year, tells 21 News it was even better this time around.

"Favorite part, chocolate fountain, the couple dance and the food. I'm also waiting for the crown moment.", said Surprinsa. She helped ISO put the event together, and had the responsibilities of crowing the king and queen.
