Those traveling on the Ohio turnpike can expect to pay a little bit more to get around in 2025.

According to a press release, toll rates for passenger vehicles will increase from 6.5 cents per mile to 7.1 cents per mile for E-ZPass customers and increase from 9.6 cents per mile to 10.4 cents per mile for those who pay with cash or card.

Meanwhile, toll rates for commercial vehicles will increase from 20.4 cents per mile to 22 cents per mile for E-ZPass customers and increase from 25.6 cents per mile to 27.6 cents per mile for those who pay with cash or card.

The new toll rates will be effective beginning January 1, 2025.

Money generated from these tolls is used to maintain the turnpike's infrastructure including roadway and bridge products.
