Boardman Park to celebrate holiday season with several Christmas events
Those looking to get into the Christmas spirit can head over to Boardman Park for several Christmas and holiday events this holiday season.
The park will host its Community Christmas Celebration Sunday, December 8 from 3 p.m. until 5 p.m. with indoor and outdoor activities for the whole family to enjoy.
Outdoor activities will consist of wagon rides to the St. James Meeting House and decorating one of the park's evergreen trees with edible arrangements for the animals. The tree will be lit at 5 p.m.
Meanwhile, indoor activities will take place in the Lariccia Community Center and include inflatable games, crafts, fire pits on the back patio and Boardman High School students singing Christmas carols. Caroling will take place at 4 p.m.
This event is absolutely free and open to the public.
If you'd rather stay in your car, you can head to Boardman Park every night beginning Monday, December 9 between 5 p.m. and 10 p.m. for the park's annual Holiday Lights show featuring over 21 displays.
While you're driving through the park enjoying the displays, you can tune your radio to 88.9 FM to enhance your experience with some holiday tunes.
Admission to this event is absolutely free.
Those looking to partake in holiday activities and meet Santa can do so on Saturday, December 14 at Santa's Winter Workshop.
This event will take place between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. and will feature play snow, "Grinch waffles," crafts, games, photos with Santa and much more. Admission is $12 in advance and $15 at the door on the day of the event.
Photos with Santa are included in the cost.
Finally, the park will be hosting a holiday concert at the St. James Meeting House on Sunday, December 15 at 3 p.m. with music courtesy of Park Avenue Brass. The concert is absolutely free to attend.
