Former Liverpool Township Police Chief Jayson Jackson is free on bond after being arraigned on a first-degree misdemeanor charge of domestic violence.
Township police arrested Jayson Jackson at his Campground Road home on Wednesday.
The investigating officer reported that a woman at the address had a bloody nose and alleged that Jackson strangled and assaulted her.
Jackson pleaded not guilty to the charge and faces another court hearing later this month.
