The appeal of a Warren man convicted of attacking a woman and kicking her baby across a room has been denied.

According to the Trumbull County Prosecutor's Office, 28-year-old the Tyrell Williams is serving a sentence of 26 to 31 years in prison for charges of felonious assault, kidnapping and endangering children.

The charges stem from an incident in July of 2023 when Williams punched the woman in the face, kicked the child in the face and across the room and body slammed the woman while she was holding the child.

The attack was captured on video that police said was "hard to watch."

Williams pled guilty to his charges in March of 2024 and was sentenced in April.

Williams appealed his sentence stating that the trial court was wrong in giving him consecutive sentences. However, the Ohio 11th District Court of Appeals found this claim to be without merit.

Williams will continue to serve his sentence at the Warren Correctional Institution in Lebanon, Ohio.
