Brookfield man fined for dumping tires in Youngstown
A Brookfield man caught on camera dumping 35 used tires on Youngstown’s East Side has pleaded guilty to littering.
Mark Domascieno appeared in Youngstown Municipal Court Thursday where he was placed on probation and ordered to pay $750 in fines, fees, and court costs.
The tire dumping was recorded on surveillance cameras at Nelson Avenue and Jacobs Road in November by street department workers who reported the find to city code enforcement officials.
Police caught up with Domascieno who was driving the truck believed to have brought the tires from a Sharon, Pennsylvania business, who paid Domascieno $168 to dispose of the tires.
Domascieno told police he was getting rid of the tires as a favor to a friend, claiming someone he knows told him that the City of Youngstown would pick up the tires.
The owner who paid for the tire disposal told police he had no idea what Domascieno was going to do with the tires.
