Troopers find SUV reported stolen in Youngstown during knifepoint carjacking

YOUNGSTOWN - Authorities have found an SUV that was reported stolen during a carjacking in Youngtown.
The GMC Acadia was recovered by a State Trooper after it was spotted Thursday morning on surveillance video outside a beverage store on Market Street in Youngstown.
Authorities say the SUV had been taken from the owner at knifepoint on Wednesday night at a gas station on Market Street and West Avondale Avenue.
The SUV's owner told police he knew the man who took his vehicle because he once hired him to work for him.
The victim says the man forced his way into the SUV and placed a knife at his ribs, ordering him to drive to the gas station because he wanted to buy drugs there.
The SUV’s owner says he managed to climb out of the driver’s seat, and that’s when the assailant slid over and drove away.
The Ohio State Patrol returned the SUV to the owner. Youngstown Police are still investigating.
