Several sections of Canfield under boil alert following multiple water main breaks in city
Water main breaks were reported on Callahan Road, Scott Street, Hood Drive near Fairground Boulevard, Wadsworth near West Main Street and N. Broad Street near Hilltop Boulevard.
CANFIELD, Ohio - Several sections of Canfield are under a boil alert following several water main breaks in the city Thursday afternoon.
According to a post on the City of Canfield's Facebook page, water main breaks were reported on Callahan Road, Scott Street, Hood Drive near Fairground Boulevard, Wadsworth near West Main Street and N. Broad Street near Hilltop Boulevard.
A city employee told 21 News the breaks on Scott, Hood and Fairground have all been repaired. The status of the other breaks are unknown.
A boil alert has been issued for residents in the areas affected by the water breaks. Residents are asked to boil all water used for drinking or cooking or use bottled water until the alert is lifted.
