Man accused of threatening man with BB gun at Youngstown gas station

A man has been charged after police say he threatened another man with a BB gun at a Youngstown gas station.
According to a police report, officers were called to a gas station on Mahoning Avenue shortly after 5 a.m. Monday for a person with a gun on the premises.
Police spoke with the alleged victim who told police he had parked his bicycle beside the building and started to walk inside when he saw a man, identified as 33-year-old Jeffrey Anthony touching the bike.
The man told police he asked Anthony not to touch the bike and Anthony asked him for a dollar. Police say when the man refused to give Anthony the dollar, he got angry with him and lifted his coat revealing a gun.
Police say Anthony did not make any verbal threats, but the man still interpreted this gesture as a threat.
Officers spoke with Anthony and found that he had a BB gun on him, as well as a knife and a magazine with live rounds in it according to the report.
Police spoke with gas station employees who told officers they did not see the interaction, but heard about it from the alleged victim. The interaction was not captured on the store's security cameras.
Anthony was arrested and charged with one count of menacing. He was arraigned on this charge on Monday and has since been released from jail.
Court records do not show when Anthony is scheduled to reappear in court at this time.
