A Salem man has pled guilty to having sexual contact with a nine-year-old victim.

Columbiana County Assistant Prosecutor Steve Yacovone tells 21 News 32-year-old Brandon Seddon pled guilty to two counts of gross sexual imposition and one count of sexual battery.

An additional charge of rape was dropped due to a plea deal.

According to an indictment, Seddon's crimes occurred between 2020 and 2021, but the exact details of his conduct are unknown.

Court records show that Seddon is scheduled to be sentenced on April 11 at 11:20 a.m. The prosecution is recommending a 10-year prison sentence.
