Two people were transported to the hospital after a crash in Boardman. 

Boardman Police responded to Shields Road shortly after 12 p.m. for a two car crash. 

Both vehicles received extensive damage, and one car went into the woods alongside the road. 

Shields Road has been shut down due to the crash. 

Two people were transported to the hospital, their conditions are unknown at this time. 

The cause of the crash is under investigation.
