A Youngstown woman is behind bars after police say she intentionally ran a man over with a car.

According to a police report, police were called to Bruno Street shortly after 11 a.m. Saturday after receiving reports of a man getting hit by a car.

Police say when they got to the scene, the man was screaming in pain and told officers that the mother of his child, identified as 29-year-old Keisha Williams had intentionally ran him over as he ran across the street.

Officers then went to Williams's home on Leo Street where they found the suspect vehicle with a broken passenger side window.

Police spoke to Williams who told officers that she and the man were in an argument and he damaged the window on the car.

Williams went on to say she got in the car to follow the man to ask him why he damaged the window claiming the man jumped in front of the car causing it to hit him and claimed she did not run him over intentionally.

Police also spoke with the victim in the hospital who told his side of the story. The man told police he threw his hair clippers into the car window because Williams was following him.

The man claimed Williams intentionally ran him over as he was crossing the street and further claimed that after hitting him once, Williams threatened to hit him again.

Williams was arrested and charged with felonious assault and was arraigned Monday afternoon. Court records do not show when her next appearance will be yet.
