BOARDMAN, Ohio - A Boardman man who pled guilty to leading police on a high speed chase with a baby in the vehicle has learned his fate Tuesday.

Court employees tell 21 News 30-year-old Matthew Brayman was sentenced to nine months in prison on a charge of failure to comply with the signal or order of a police officer.

The charge stems from a chase back in August of 2024 when Brayman led officers on a chase with speeds reaching 115 miles per hour in a pickup truck with a baby inside.

The chase was terminated because troopers with the Ohio State Highway Patrol (OSP) were concerned for the child's safety, but troopers still followed him from a safe distance into Youngstown's south side.

A woman told dispatchers that Brayman was the child's father. Troopers said the baby was returned to the mother unharmed.
