YSU men's basketball in renovated locker-room
The Youngstown State men's basketball team has a new renovated locker-room.
The project was part of the renovations at Beeghly Center that included new seating and sound system.
'Oh my God, I love it, " was the reaction of Juwan Maxey upon seeing the new room.
"We waited so long for it and just finally seeing it done, you can see everyone they got the extra GO in them for the rest of the season."
The new locker-room features a walk in area with a cooler, full circle couch and big screen TV. Each player has his own space, which is much wider then the previous one and storage areas. The carpeted area also features several televisions, a countdown clock a huge "Y" in the ceiling.
Former coach Jerrod Calhoun and Men's Basketball Chief of Staff Rocco Nolfi took the lead in fundraising and results will have a huge impact on the program.
"It's a game changer for us," said Coach Ethan Faulkner, "its as nice as any locker-room I've been in in mid major basketball. This is going to really help us in recruiting."
