JOANN Fabrics to close more than 500 stores; including stores in the Valley

JOANN Fabrics is set to close more than 500 of its 800 store locations nationwide as part of its second bankruptcy proceeding, which was revealed in the Bankruptcy Court of Delaware filing on Wednesday.
Ohio will see the closure of most locations, including local stores East Liverpool, Niles, Boardman, and Steubenville.
The craft and fabric retailer originally filed for bankruptcy back in early 2024 and again this year for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection on January 15.
The closures are aimed at addressing financial challenges, including declining sales, increased competition and supply chain issues.
Customers are advised to check the status of their local stores and seek for clearance sales before closure.
