Spano Foundation introduces Rose Carter Community Fund

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio - The Anthony Spano Foundation sent out a press release announcing the new Rose Carter Community Fund.
This initiative is intended to empower and enrich local communities through donations, partnerships and support, according to the press release.
The fund also aims to address critical needs, promote sustainable grown, and improve the well-being of both individuals and families.
The fund honors the work of an 80-year-old who recently retired from her work with A.C.T.I.O.N - Rosetta "Rose" Carter, who advocated for and continues to commit to community empowerment.
It is intended to continue to carry forward Carter's commitment to social change, progress and empowerment for communities such as Youngstown and beyond.
Some of the achievements that Carter is listed to have include:
- A 23-year career in banking that led to leading A.C.T.I.O.N, a faith-based advocacy group
- Fair housing initiatives
- Consumer protection against predatory lending
- Providing necessary resources to the community
