Families looking for autism evaluations can now access comprehensive and timely diagnostic services with the launch of Easterseals of Northeast Ohio's new Autism Diagnostic Clinic.

Located in Youngstown, the clinic is designed to meet the needs for early autism assessments and guidance for families going through the next steps of following a diagnosis.

The clinic is led by an independently licensed therapist with expertise in behavioral health and autism diagnostics.

The space has been renovated to create a sensory-friendly environment to ensure children and families feel comfortable and supported during the process.

Funding for the startup of the clinic was provided by The Youngstown Foundation and Community Foundation of the Mahoning Valley.

"There is a critical need for autism diagnostic services in our region, with many families waiting over a year for an assessment," said Jody Klase, CEO of Easterseals of Northeast Ohio.

She continues, "Through this clinic, we're reducing barriers to early diagnosis and helping families navigate the next steps with confidence, ensuring children get the support they need as early as possible."

Additionally, Easterseals will assist families with emotional support and hands-on assistance when connecting to appropriate services, schools and therapy providers.

The launch of the clinic aligns with Easterseals's broader vision to strengthen disability services and inclusivity for Northeast Ohio.
