A road in Wilmington Township is open again a crash knocked over a utility pole late Thursday.

A 21 News employee driving on Bethel New Wilmington Road near Auction Road noticed a pole had been completely taken down resulting in wires in the roadway.

A lone car was seen in a ditch.

A police officer on the scene told 21 News the driver of the car in the ditch was not injured.

According to FirstEnergy's outage map, 227 customers in Wilmington Township and 10 in New Wilmington were without electricity late Thursday. Power has since been restored.

The cause of the crash is unknown.
