A new grocery store that advertises lower prices is open for business in Hubbard.

The Price Cutter opened to customers on Valentines DAy in the former Save A Lot building at 880 West Liberty Street.

Originally, the store was set to open around Thanksgiving of 2024. However, Mayor Ben Kyle said a "number of delays" had prevented that from happening.

The Save A Lot was permanently closed last April after court records showed that the store owner owed the landlord more than $400,000 in unpaid rent.
