YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio - As part of the next installment of Youngstown State University's Cliffe College Performing Arts Series, a New York-based string group will be performing.

On February 22 at 7 p.m., Harlem Quartet will perform at St. John's Episcopal Church in Youngstown.

Tickets to the event are free, but admission is required to attend. Tickets may be reserved by visiting ysu.tix.com.

Harlem Quartet is a leading ensemble in both educational and community engagement capacities according to a press release announcing their upcoming performance.

Their repertoire includes works by minority composers, and aims to advance diversity in classical music by performing a variety of pieces.

Harlem Quartet has written several grants, and collaborates with other artists, such as classical and jazz pianists, violists, cellists, clarinetists, saxophonists and other musical groups.

The group is currently the quartet-in-residence at the John J. Cali School of Music and at the Royal College of Music in London.

Harlem Quartet began in 2006 and has since made appearances throughout the United States and some areas overseas including:
