Pennsylvania - The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation has reduced speed on some highways due to the winter weather. 

The speed has been reduced to 45 mph on the following roads: 

• Interstate 79 from Exit 54 (Route 50, Bridgeville) in Allegheny County to Exit 147A (Route 6/322, Meadville) in Crawford County.

• Interstate 80 from the Ohio state line to Exit 45 (Route 478, St. Petersburg/Emlenton).

• Interstate 376 from the I-80 interchange to Exit 13A (Route 224, Poland).

Starting at 12 p.m. Saturday, Interstate 80 from the Interstate 79 interchange to Exit 173 will be under a Tier 1 restriction, meaning the following vehicles will not be allowed on the road: 

  • Tractors without trailers.
  • Tractors towing unloaded or lightly loaded enclosed trailers, open trailers or tank trailers.
  • Tractors towing unloaded or lightly loaded tandem trailers.
  • Enclosed unloaded or lightly loaded cargo delivery trucks/box trucks that meet the definition of a CMV.
  • Passenger vehicles (cars, SUV’s, pickup trucks, etc.) towing trailers.
  • Recreational vehicles/motorhomes.
  • School buses, commercial buses and motor coaches.
  • Motorcycles
