Car fully engulfed in flames deemed 'total loss' in Cortland
According to responders, the full-size SUV was fully engulfed in flames and had to be put out. No injuries were reported.
Multiple fire departments responded to the scene of a car on fire on Route 11 Northbound on Tuesday night before 8 p.m.
City of Cortland Fire Department, Fowler Township Fire Department and Johnson Township Fire Departments all responded to the scene.
According to responders, the full-size SUV was fully engulfed in flames and had to be put out.
A photo taken by a 21 News member shows the vehicle smoking and heavily damaged.
A Cortland Fire Department official said the cause of the fire is undetermined at this time and under investigation, but no foul play is suspected.
The SUV was deemed a total loss.
No injuries were reported.
