Rescue Mission of the Mahoning Valley awarded $8,800 check to help those in need stay warm

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio - The Rescue Mission of the Mahoning Valley has been presented with an $8,800 check to help folks in need stay warm throughout the winter.
The check, along with collected food items came from Goods Electric, Heating & Air following its "Safety for the Season" campaign where the proceeds from every purchase of certain essential safety products throughout the month of January went to the Rescue Mission.
The donation will help the Mission continue to support the 186 people who stay at the Rescue Mission nightly, as well as the over 400 meals served daily at the facility.
Rescue Mission Chief Development Officer Lynn Wyatt thanked Goods for its support through the campaign.
"Initiatives like this not only raise awareness, but also make a significant impact on our community," Wyatt said.
