The Cavaliers intend to sign Javonte Green after the wing agreed to a contract buyout with the New Orleans Pelicans, according to ESPN.

Green has played in 50 games this season and started 18. 

He's averaging 5.8 points and 3.6 rebounds while shooting 44.6% from the field.

The 31-year old is in his sixth season in the NBA.

The Cavaliers (44-10) sit atop the Eastern Conference standings and return to action Thursday, February 20 at Brooklyn.
