Former Wilmington football coach Terry Verrelli spent 40 years with the Greyhound program and now there's a plan in place to rename Greyhound Stadium after him.

A presentation was made to the board of education earlier this week to name the home of the Greyhounds as "Terry Verrelli Stadium."

Verrelli has 314 wins and won the 2008 Class 2A State Championship.  He reached two other finals in 1988 and 2017.

At the time of his retirement in 2017 he was one of 15 coaches in the keystone state to have more than 300 wins.
