A Warren woman is facing charges after police say she slashed her boyfriend's foot with a knife.

According to a police report, Warren police were called to a home on the 1000 Block of Orlo Street NW after a man called and told officers that his girlfriend, identified as 77-year-old Sandra Code stabbed him while arguing over a bottle of alcohol.

Police say the argument escalated to the point where Code grabbed a knife and slashed at his foot with it. According to the report, officers saw a cut on the man's foot, but he refused to go to the hospital.

Police then spoke with Code, who told police a different story. Code told police the man smokes a lot of crack and that she's tired of it, saying that the fight happened because he would not leave her alone.

According to the report, the knife was found at the top of the stairs leading to the upper level of the house.

Police say as Code was being arrested, the victim changed his story and was now saying something along the lines of that he "must have slipped on the knife."

Code is charged with felonious assault. She was arraigned on Wednesday and is due back in court February 25.
