New retail plaza in the works on Route 224 in Canfield Township

A new retail plaza is in the works in Canfield Township.
Township Trustee Chair Brian Governor tells 21 News a plaza is in the works on Route 224 near the South Raccoon Road intersection.
Canfield Township Zoning Inspector Traci DeCapula tells 21 News the plans show the plaza will be approximately 5,600 square feet with an approximate value of $421,050.
DeCapula says the plaza would host three tenants with one being confirmed to be Cardinal Credit Union. There is no word yet on who the other two tenants will be.
This would be in addition to a plaza just behind this land that features businesses like Capriotti's Sandwich Shop, Anytime Fitness and Look Good, Feel Good Barber Shop.
The two plazas would share parking with one another.
There is no official date for the plaza to be ready, but DeCapula tells us developer CTW Development Corp. is aiming to have the plaza ready for tenants by April of 2025.
From there, the tenants will be able to come in and start building the suits.
