Man dies after getting hit by a car on busy Boardman roadway

A man is dead after authorities say he was hit by a car on a busy Boardman roadway.
According to the Mahoning County Coroner's Office, 35-year-old Shannon Greenwalt died several days after being struck by a car on Boardman-Canfield Road, which is along State Route 224 in Boardman.
The crash happened Thursday, February 20 and Greenwalt died of his injuries Tuesday, February 25.
Details on what led up to the crash are unknown at this time.
A press release from the Mahoning County Coroner's Office stated that the incident is still under investigation by the Mahoning County Coroner's Office and the Ohio State Highway Patrol.
However, court records show that Greenwalt was found to be at fault in the crash and was cited for walking in the roadway before he died.
When asked about this, a representative for the Coroner's Office told us their cases remain under investigation until they receive a report back.
