One man arrested, charged following 'violent domestic situation' at Youngstown home
One person is in custody following a standoff at a Youngstown home Wednesday afternoon.
Clyde Hudson, 39, was arrested by Youngstown police and charged with felonious assault and aggravated menacing.
He is currently being held in Mahoning County Jail and is set to be arraigned Friday afternoon.
Our crew at the scene spotted several police cruisers on the 500 Block of Cambridge Avenue near South Avenue and Gibson Street.
According to a police report, the incident started just before 1 p.m. Wednesday when Hudson and a female victim got into an argument over money. Police say during the argument, Hudson pulled out a gun and said he would "shoot up the house" and "put [a bullet] in her head."
Police say the woman was able to escape the house and flee, but Hudson was still inside. Security camera footage from the home shows Hudson pointing a gun at the victim and firing it.
According to the report, when police got to the scene, Hudson fled to the basement prompting a standoff with police and family members trying to tell Hudson to come outside.
Sergeant Jeff Saluga with the Mahoning County Sheriff's Office told 21 News Hudson was eventually able to be talked into coming outside with the help of a negotiator.
Sergeant Saluga told 21 News he was pleased that the standoff was able to be resolved peacefully.
It is unknown at this time if anyone was hurt during this incident.
