YOUNGSTOWN - Youngstown State University received a $250,000 contribution from Laura and Paul Lyden alongside Lyden Oil Company for the "Kilcawley: Centered on the Future" campaign.

"The Lydens' support is a game-changer for this campaign," said Chair of the "Kilcawley: Centered on the Future" campaign Scott Schulick. "Their commitment to YSU and the Mahoning Valley is a shining example of how one family can make a lasting difference."

The Lyden Oil Company and Lyden family are longtime philanthropic supporters of the university along with Laura being a member of YSU's Board of Trustees and Paul being a member of YSU's Penguin Club Board of Trustees.

The Lyden family and Lyden Oil Company are recognized in YSU's Stone Bridge Giving Society, which honors those who have contributed between 1-2 million dollars to the school.

They will be recognized doubly with the addition of the "Monumental Stairs" which will be a part of the renovated Kilcawley Center.

"Once again, I find myself inspired by the incredible generosity of supporters like the Lyden family," said YSU President Bill Johnson.
