A 61-year-old Brookfield man remained in the Trumbull County Jail Monday following his arrest for aggravated murder.

According to Brookfield police, 65-year-old Janice Zanolli was found inside a home on 3rd Street with a gunshot wound to the head on Saturday.

Officers found 61-year-old John Zanolli in the home with a gun threatening suicide.

Following a half hour of negotiations with police, officers say they used a taser on Zanolli and removed the firearm from him. 

Officers from Brookfield, Girard, and Hubbard Police Department all responded to the home.
