Police: Knife wielding robber takes cash, cigarettes from Hermitage Dollar General

Hermitage police are investigating an armed robbery at a Dollar General store.
Officers were called to the store at 326 N. Buhl Farm Drive at approximately 9:45 p.m. Friday after a robbery, according to Hermitage Police Chief Adam J. Piccirillo.
Police said a male suspect armed with a knife demanded cigarettes from a clerk. After the clerk handed over the cigarettes, the suspect demanded cash from the register. The suspect then fled the store with cigarettes and an undisclosed amount of cash.
The suspect wore face and head coverings during the robbery. No injuries were reported.
Investigators are working to identify the suspect.
