Mahoning Valley - Thomas J. Seefred Trust has announced that scholarships are now available to college students in Ohio, with emphasis on students within the Mahoning Valley with Type 1 Diabetes.

The trust, now a perpetual fund was established in 2005 and is overseen by Mahoning County Probate Judge Robert Rusu. It seeks to provide financial support and academic opportunity to college students battling with Type 1 Diabetes, or Junior Diabetes.

The perpetual fund will be able to supplement a $3,000 scholarship to qualifying applicants. 

Applicants must be active college students between the age of 18-25 years in a bachelor's program at an accredited college, junior college or university. Current high school students are not eligible for this scholarship opportunity.
