Former YSU assistant Dantonio new member of CFP selection committee

Former Michigan State head coach and former Youngstown State assistant Mark Dantonio was named to the College Football Playoff selection committee.
He's one of five new members that name the 12 team playoff field.
Dantonio retired from Michigan State in 2020 after 13 seasons and served as the head coach at Cincinnati for three years prior to that. His 132 wins at Michigan State made him the winningest coach in Spartan football history.
The 68 year old Dantonio was the Penguins defensive coordinator from 1986-1990.
Besides Dantonio the other new members of the committee are Maryland Athletic Director Damon Evans, former ESPN college football reporter Ivan Maisel, Middle Tennessee State Athletic Director Chris Massaro and former Ole Miss tight end Wesley Walls.
