A Grove City man has been charged after police say he had inappropriate sexual conduct with children and also secretly recorded those children and their mother in their bedrooms.

According to a criminal complaint, a female victim called police earlier in February and alerted officers of crimes allegedly committed by 36-year old Brendan Shollenberger who has been deployed to Africa since December of 2023.

The woman told police since then, she had found hidden cameras in her room, as well as the room of a juvenile girl.

Police say a children's services referral source told officers the two juveniles said they found the cameras in their bedrooms, but did not know how long they were there.

The two juvenile victims referenced a time when Shollenberger would allegedly have them lay on him and kiss him, as well as numerous other inappropriate alleged sexual encounters with him.

These alleged encounters include a time when Shollenberger allegedly watched one of the victims in the shower, a time when he allegedly touched a victim's genitalia through her clothes and asking her if she liked it.

Police say the juvenile victim told Shollenberger she didn't like it and Shollenberger allegedly told her if she called the police he'd "give her a reason" to call them.

Other alleged sexual encounters include asking the juvenile victims to try on their bras in front of him, grabbing their breasts to measure their bra size and much more.

In addition to the alleged sexual crimes, Shollenberger is also accused of capturing an adult woman having sex with another man on a hidden camera planted in her bedroom.

Police say she received a Snapchat message from Shollenberger saying he saw what she did and was hurt by it and also posted about it on Facebook, which alerted her to the hidden camera.

According to the complaint, the woman found a hidden camera in her room, as well as her juvenile daughter's room. Police say the camera in the juvenile's room captured video of the juvenile without a shirt on.

Shollenberger is facing several charges including felony counts of aggravated indecent assault, indecent assault of a person less than 13 years old, corruption of minors, endangering children and intercepting communications, as well as a misdemeanor count of invasion of privacy.

Charges have been filed, but court records show both cases to be inactive at this time with no arraignment date set.
