Portion of State Route 172 in Columbiana County soon to be under construction
According to a news release, a section of State Route 172 in Columbiana County will soon be under construction starting March 10.
The construction project is going to take place near Guliford Lake between Lakeview Road and Woodale Avenue.
In addition to the culvert replacement, the project will also include replacing the pavement and guardrail and realigning the ditch.
From March 10 to April 18, the initial preparation will lead up to the culvert replacement. Traffic impacts are expected to be managed by flaggers.
Beginning April 21, SR 172 will close for 21 days.
To avoid the construction, the detour listed in the news release will be State Route 9 to U.S. Route 30 East, and reverse.
The overall project end date, according to the release, is October 31, 2025.
