According to the City of Salem Ohio Police Department Facebook page, the Salem Police Department seized narcotics and other items during the execution of a search warrant and arrested two people.

According to the post, Salem Police officers were conducting a narcotics investigation that led to a traffic stop and positive alert from K9 Chaz that resulted in the recovery of narcotics. 

A search warrant was later executed in the 500 block of Pershing Street, where additional narcotics, paraphernalia and drug abuse instruments were found.

The collective efforts recovered approximately one ounce of methamphetamine, which resulted in the incarceration of two people in the Columbiana County jail with pending additional charges. 

Those arrested include Melissa Brink and Jason Sorrell according to the Facebook post. 

The search warrant was carried out by Salem Police Department officers, the Drug Task Force and the Perry Township Police Department.

The post goes on to thank the Columbiana County Prosecutor's Office for their assistance and time during this matter.
