Grove City man, former teacher indicted on four counts of child porn

A former teacher from Grove City, PA, has been indicted by a federal grand jury in Pittsburgh on charges of sexual exploitation of a minor on Thursday.
Michael Boston was arrested in late November on 63 charges of possessing child pornography, disseminating photos or films of child sex acts, and criminal use of a communication facility.
The four-count indictment alleges on three separate occasions between October 2022 and July 2023, Boston transported material depicting the sexual exploitation of a minor in interstate commerce. Boston is also indicted on possessing material depicting the sexual exploitation of a minor as recently as October 11.
Boston was arrested following an investigation spanning more than two years regarding the upload of explicit material involving minors.
Pennsylvania State Police first received notification of the alleged crimes through a tip on the Internet Crimes Against Children on October 25, 2022.
If found guilty of the alleged crimes, Boston faces up to 20 years in prison, a fine of up to $250,000, or both.
Boston was a teacher who specialized in educating the hearing impaired and worked for Riverview Intermediate Unit 6 and traveled to the different schools until police contacted the organization to inform them of the investigation.
On October 11, police went to Boston's home and served him a search warrant. Boston refused to speak with officers.
Police say the two devices contained a total of 1,500 files containing explicit materials involving minors as young as 2-3 months old. Michael Boston was arrested on October 30, 2024.
Boston is no longer employed in the district.
