YSU punches ticket to Horizon League Final Four
(4) Youngstown State held off (5) Purdue Fort Wayne in the Horizon League Men's Basketball Quarterfinal, 72-67.
The game was tied at 26 at halftime, but the Penguins (20-12) outscored the Mastodons 46-41 in the second half.
Nico Galette led the Penguins with 22 points and 10 rebounds and Ty Harper had 20. Cris Carroll chimed in with 11.
The Penguins advance to the Horizon League Men's Basketball Semifinal to play Cleveland State Monday, March 10 - 9:30 p.m. at Corveta Coliseum in Indianapolis.
It's the second time in three years Youngstown State has punched their ticket to the final four and the third time in program history.
Robert Morris and Oakland also advanced to the final four. The Colonials and Golden Grizzlies will tipoff at 7:00 p.m. Monday.
