Pennsylvania Governor Josh Shapiro urges residents of the state to take a survey regarding their concerns with Pennsylvania bridges, bike and state roadways, freight, and public transit.

The survey will allow residents to comment on the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation(PennDOT)'s 12-Year Transportation Program (TYP) through April 30. There will also be an online public forum livestream about the plan on April 10 from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.

"Governor Shapiro knows that transportation affects everyone, so we want to hear from everyone," said PennDOT Secretary Mike Carroll. "PA drivers, riders, pedestrians and residents use our transportation system every day, and it's critical that we hear directly from them as we plan for the next 12 years."

This survey is held every two years when PennDOT and the State Transportation Commission (STC) update the TYP. State residents can also review the 2025 PennDOT Transportation Performance Report which also updates every two years.

State residents can submit feedback by completing the previously mentioned survey, emailing comments to the email provided here, or calling the number here to either take the survey by phone or request a print copy.

PennDOT and STC will review and use the surveys and feedback to prioritize projects for transportation and identify what the state needs.

Residents who want to complete the survey or make public comments can do so at the link provided here.
